Elected into Cleveland's "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" in 1995,
"Humble" Harve Miller began a legendary radio career as a teenager
in his home town of Philadelphia. Harve's radio history includes top
rated air shifts in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Seattle.
He served as Program Director at KBLA/Burbank, and KRLA/Los Angeles, and achieved wide national recognition as Bill Drake's legendary nighttime Boss Jock at superstation KHJ, where he maintained a monumental 21.0 share of the L.A. radio market, a feat which has never been equaled by any format in Los Angeles radio history for that daypart. During his impressive career, Harve is credited with such Rock & Roll accomplishments as starting "The Twist" and creating "The Bristol Stomp" dance craze at his record hop in Bristol, PA during his stint at renowned WIBG/Philadelphia (where he compiled an unbelievable 52% share of the Philadelphia audience!). Harve also launched, produced and hosted the first LP countdown (The National Album Countdown), which aired on over 200 stations, and the entire Armed Forces Radio Network for nine years. Harve's industry background includes national radio and television spots, an extensive list of syndicated shows, and 3 major Hollywood films. Harve is currently hosting a live five-hour Saturday & Sunday show in 150 markets via satellite on the Westwood One Oldies Channel. |
