You And Me....Joe Bonamassa!

In a world chock full of great guitar players, Joe Bonamassa stands tall. Possessing fire and sensitivity at the same time, Mr. Bonamassa lays down a series of well picked songs and developes the songs in his own inimitable style.

You And Me is a tribute to the styles of many guitarists who have come before and raises the bar to the guitarists who will come after.

BluePower would like to salute the producer of You And Me, Mr. Kevin Shirley for a brilliant job of taking another singing, stomping guitarist into the realm of the stars. It is always the producer's job to take the artist where the artist wants to go. This time the artist wanted to make a Blues record, not just a rock record with some Blues on it. Well done!

The choice of songs on You And Me is wonderful. Here is the list:

1)...."High Water Everywhere"....Charley Patton
2)...."Bridge To Better Days"....Joe Bonamassa
3)...."Asking Around For You"....Joe Bonamassa
4)...."So Many Roads"....Paul Marshall
5)...."I Don't Believe"....Don Robey/Manuel Charles
6)...."Tamp 'Em Up Solid"....Ryland Cooder
7)...."Django"....Robert Bosmans/Etienne Lefebvre
8)...."Tea For One"....Jimmy Page/Robert Plant
9)...."Palm Trees, Helicopters And Gasoline"....Joe Bonamassa
10)..."Your Funeral And My Trial"....Sonny Boy Williamson
11)..."Torn Down"....Joe Bonamassa

Guitars and vocals....Joe Bonamassa
Drums....Jason Bonham
Bass....Carmine Rojas
Piano, organ and tambourine....Rick Melick
Additional guitar....Pat Thrall
Orchestration and programming....Jeff Bova
Vocals on "Tea For One"....Doug Henthorn
Harmonica solo on "Your Funeral And My Trial"....L.D. Miller

It's rare that BluePower endorses an album but in this case we believe that Joe Bonamassa stands among the truly great players in this idiom.
You And Me is a bonafide masterpiece of production and virtuosity. A piece of work that will be enjoyed long into the future.
