Ode To Bobby Jo!

As you walk through life, you're fortunate to find a handful people who will go to the wall for you. Who have faith in you and just plain believe in you. Not to mention "help you move" and "bail you out of jail".

This is but a slight testimonial to a man who believed in me and gave me the faith to go on when I was disheartened. Who introduced me to people who gave me jobs and allowed me to gain a foothold in the tough city of Hollywood. Who made me laugh when I felt like hell.

He is a man of many talents. A writer and performer whom, just as his career was poised to take off, nearly died in a car crash. He's a tough one.

He's also my dear friend and I always want to make sure my friends know how I feel about them. Hell! A piano might fall on my head. You never know.

These are a few of my favorite Darius songs and a couple of songs I wrote because Bobby Jo Ott was in my life.

Bobby Jo Ott and Darius are the same person. Both, I have found, to be talented, sensitive and compassionate. Not to mention great cook, bloody great singer, all around crazy man and damned good friend.
